This blog began as a passion project, born out of my love for exploring creative ways to earn extra income.

Over the years, I’ve dabbled in just about every side hustle you can think of — from blogging and running an Etsy shop, to faceless digital marketing, Facebook ads, and selling digital products on Instagram. If it involved the potential to make money online, chances are I’ve tried it (or at least seriously considered it)!

Starting in my late 20’s I became OBSESSED with starting a second stream of income…I’ve had this nagging feeling for years that I could create and income online but I had no idea where to start.

Like most people I had no idea where to start. I’ve got sucked into reels promising effortless income with Pinterest, with reels, with ads, courses you name. It seemed like in the online world everyone was making 6 figures and I was standing there wondering what I’ve done wrong.

But here’s the thing: not all side hustles are created equal. While some side hustles started out with the promise of making extra income (and making it easily), others (most) turned out to be time-consuming or simply not worth the hype. Through all the trial and error, I realized there was a real lack of honesty in the online income space (crazy high income claims being one of them (seriously)). Most of what I found were either overly polished success stories or vague promises with little substance (cough, most digital products).

That’s where Side Gig Journal comes in.

This blog is my space to share realistic and authentic insights into the world of side hustles. I’m here to document what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between. Whether it’s building a blog, creating and selling digital products, leveraging Pinterest for traffic, or testing out the latest online income trend, I’m diving in and sharing the journey with you — the wins, the flops (mostly flops, lets be honest), and all the lessons learned along the way.
